Every year, more than 700,000 lives are lost to suicide. Behind every number is a name, a story, and loved ones left wondering why.
The truth is, many who struggle suffer silently. On the outside they may look fine, but on the inside they are carrying pain too heavy to bear. Suicide doesn’t come from one cause — it’s a storm of pressures, losses, and hopelessness that convinces a person they have no way out.
That’s why this month matters. Suicide Awareness Month is about breaking the silence, shining light into the dark corners, and reminding people that hope is still possible. It’s about listening, noticing, and reaching out — because connection saves lives.
