💙 About Jennifer

💙 Jennifer, Jenni, Jen….but most importantly I’m called a wife, mother, “MeMaw” daughter, chosen family, and friend. My roots run deep in love of family and community, and my heart feels most at home surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, where hiking trails become both sanctuary and teacher.

When I’m not guiding wellness clients or chasing sunrises on a mountaintop, you’ll often find me walking with my pitbull rescues, breathing in their reminder that every soul deserves a second chance and unconditional love.

A Life Outdoors, A Life Within

Nature has always been my reset button. From rocks and wildflowers to cloud-watching and forest paths, I find in the outdoors a steady rhythm of grace, resilience, and wonder. The trails remind me that slow and steady steps — even the smallest ones — lead us forward.

I’ve also spent a lifetime behind the lens as a wildlife and nature photographer. Capturing small details, sweeping landscapes, and fleeting wild moments has taught me to see beauty in unexpected places. All nature photos featured on this site are my original work unless otherwise noted — a true reflection of the way I experience the world.

Storytelling & Imagination

I also believe stories are lifelines. On my YouTube channel, Lil Figments, I read and share children’s stories, keeping the spark of imagination alive for kids (and the kid inside all of us). Stories teach us to hope, to laugh, to dream, and to remember that we are never too old for wonder.

What Grounds Me

  • Family: my anchor and greatest gift.

  • Nature: hiking trails, mountain air, and the quiet wisdom of wild places.

  • Rescue Work: giving voice and love to misunderstood pitbulls.

  • Storytelling: opening doors of imagination through words and play.

Closing Note

At the end of the day, my life is about connection — with people, with nature, with animals, and with the stories that keep us moving forward. If you’re here, welcome. This is a space for realness, resilience, and a little bit of wonder along the way.
